Ukrainian Egyptology; The Egyptian Collection in the Odessa Museum of Archaeology, by Joseph Koetsier. This lecture is the third presentation about Egyptology in Eastern Europe. The first lecture presented contributions by Polish Egyptologists history of Egyptology in Ukraine during the Russian, Tzarist.Romanov Period (1795-1917), the Soviet period (1917-1991) and the period of Independence of Ukraine since 1991. Third biggest Egyptian collection of 800 artefacts in Eastern Europe, housed in the Archeological Museum of Odessa at the Black Sea. The history of this collection goes back to the Napoleonic period.
