The now traditional TESSA Annual Day School was held on Saturday 19 July 2014 at our new venue – Kelvin Grove Club, Newlands.
This year’s theme was “Religion in Ancient Egypt” - the lecturers were -
Prof Sakkie Cornelius – “The Many Faces of the Deity: Iconography of the Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt.”
Keith Grenville “It’s all in a Name – The Dawn of the Aten.”
Keith Grenville “Conflict and Compliance: Egyptian Religion in the Ptolemaic Period.”
Warmest thanks are due to all who contributed to the success of the day. Particular thanks to Minnie Botes for the beautiful cake with the incredibly beautiful Egyptian image on it – far too good to cut!
