TESSA Annual Day School July 2012

Day School 28th July 2012 – by Prof. Anthony Humphreys.

The traditional TESSA day school was presented in the Chisholm Room in the College of Music just behind the Baxter Theatre Complex.  This year’s theme was ‘The Great Archaeologists & Their Legacies’.

Lecturers were-

Keith Grenville – ‘Bravo Belzoni!

Anlen Boshoff - ‘Petrie; Archaeology in Long Johns.’

Anthony Humphreys - ‘Carter-Carnarvon Combo’.

Before winding up the day, there was a draw for a variety of items that were being raffled. We are most grateful to those members who provided the items, the first prize was a superb brand new edition of “The Book of the Dead’
